Syria, China discuss developing cooperation in relief and services fields

Damascus – Local Administration and Environment Minister Hussein Makhlouf discussed on Tuesday with China’s Ambassador to Syria Qi Qianjin means to develop the cooperation between the two countries in the relief and service fields, SANA reported.

Makhlouf, who is also the head of the Higher Committee for Relief, pointed out to the possibility of cooperation in the environmental field in addition to enhancing the existing cooperation in the humanitarian field through the provision of non-food items, with the possibility of benefiting from Chinese expertise in the field of providing training for the reconstruction stage.

 

He also lauded the humanitarian aid provided by China to the Syrian people to help alleviate the negative effects which affected the Syrian citizens due to the criminal acts of the armed terrorist organizations.

For his part, Qianjin said his government is interested in strengthen the relations between the two countries in all sectors, affirming China’s supportive stance towards Syrians.
