Army units target terrorists’ positions across the country, authorities seize ammo cache

Provinces – The Army and Armed Forces on Monday continued carrying out counter-terrorism operations across the country, targeting terrorists’ positions in several areas, SANA reported.

Homs

Authorities in Homs province seized during a special operation an ammunition cache for terrorist organizations in al-Hamra village in the eastern countryside of Hama near the administrative border of the province of Homs.

SANA reported that based on accurate intelligence information, a patrol stormed an ammunition depot for terrorist organizations in al-Hamra village and seized 113 boxes of ammunition that were inside it.

Later, a military source said that the Syrian Air Force launched airstrikes on the gatherings of terrorist organizations to the south of Deir Fuul, Talbeisa, Shaer Field, to the east of Palmyra, to the northwest of al-Arak, Manokh, Rahom, and Um Sahrij in the countryside of Homs province, destroying a number of their sites and vehicles and killing tens of their members.

Daraa

Army and Armed Forces units directed concentrated strikes on terrorist groups that were building fortifications in the neighborhoods of al-Sad Road and al-Abbasyiah, to the northwest of Old Customs building in Daraa al-Balad area and on al-Ghariat Bridge in the northeast countryside of Daraa city.

A number of terrorists were killed during the strikes and a mortar launcher, a fortified position, and a vehicle were destroyed.

Damascus Countryside

A military source said that an Army and Armed Forces unit killed a number of ISIS terrorists in Beir al-Afaayi to the northeast of Jairoud in Damascus Countryside.

The source added that Ahmad al-Jadi and Mahmoud Bakr were identified among the terrorists that were killed.

Aleppo

A military source said that Army and Armed Forces units killed more than 30 terrorists and destroyed a tank, 5 SUV vehicles, and a vehicle rigged with explosives for ISIS in Deir Hafir area the area surrounding the Air Force Academy in the countryside of Aleppo.

Hama

Army units thwarted a terrorist attack on al-Jabin town in the northern countryside of Hama, killing more than 50 terrorists in the process, a military source said.

The Syrian Air Force destroyed sites, tanks and equipped vehicles for terrorists in Tal Bazzam, Talit al-Nasiria, Soran, Teibit al-Imam, the area surrounding Maan, Hilfaya, al-Latamina and to the west of Kaokab in Hama countryside.
