Defense Minister inspects army units in Hama countryside

Hama – Delegated by President Bashar al-Assad, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij conducted a field tour during which he inspected the armed forces in the direction of the northern countryside of Hama province and the military operations carried out against terrorist organizations that attacked civilians and committed massacres.

Field commanders briefed al-Freij with a detailed explanation about the operations carried out by the army units on various sectors, and he provided them with directives to continue the implementation of the tasks entrusted to them, SANA reported.

Al-Freij affirmed that the terrorist escalation reflects the failure of the takfiri groups in achieving the goals of their supporters and operators, stressing that the supporters of terrorism will not be able to achieve their goals and projects thanks to the heroism of the army, the steadfastness of Syria’s people, and the support of Syria’s friends who stand by it in the battle to defend truth, justice, and peace from the forces of oppression, aggression, and terrorism.

In turn, soldiers said that they will always bear the national and moral responsibility entrusted to them and will do their best to defend Syria and the dignity of the Syrian people.

Al-Freij was accompanied during the tour by number of the officers in the general command of the army and the armed forces.
