LONDON, (ST)- Europol Chief Rob Wainwright has warned that Europe is facing a “big security threat” because ISIS is using fake passports to enter European countries.
According to UK’ s “The Sun” news corporate, Wainwright revealed that ISIS has been sending its fanatics to distribute fake IDs in refugee camps on the continent in order to allow its terrorists to travel more easily within Europe.
He added “some ISIS extremists were using false Syrian passports in a bid to arrive undetected with an increasing number posing as refugees.”
Wainwright pointed out that such ISIS procedures were an attempt to distract attention from failures in its strongholds in Iraq and Syria.
The cop boss warned of the threat of more Paris-style attacks as there is a lot of pressure on ISIS now with morale flagging in its ranks.
According to the director, there will be challenging times ahead, as people exposed to radical ideology attempt to integrate back into European society.
The European Union countries have launched 50 anti-terror campaigns to deal with any possible ISIS attack, he said.
France has witnessed several terrorist attacks, the latest was carried out last month in Nice where 84 people were killed. Belgium and Germany also witnessed ISIS terror attacks that killed and wounded many people. Britain is also facing a rising threat of terror at the hands of ISIS terrorists as more and more so-called “jihadis” are using fake passports to enter the UK.
Most European countries are in a state of high alert fearing possible terror attacks, because the terrorism which they backed in Syria and the region has started to backfire on them.
