Moscow Dubs as ‘Information Hysteria’ Reports on Russian Role in Syria

MOSCOW-The Russian Foreign Ministry has dubbed as ‘information hysteria’ media reports alleging that Russia is responsible for ongoing violence in Syria.

“Increasing pressure rhetoric against Russia in connection with activity of our Aerospace Forces in Syria has been seen over the recent days in western and some Middle East media, and this would appear to be not least due to American partners,” it said, according to Itar Tass.

The ministry referred to “unfounded accusations alleging that Russia is responsible for ongoing violence in that country, alleging that Russians clumsily interfered in an intercommunal conflict, that women and children die in dozens under their bombs, while hospitals, schools and kindergartens are destroyed”.

“It is obvious that this far from reality information hysteria pursues some concrete political goals,” the ministry stressed.
