Syria Mod Exhibition: Syrian products compete with foreign product

Beirut, (St) – Activities of the Specialist Exhibition for Clothing “Syria Mod Khan al –Harir” concluded on Monday in Beirut. The event was organized by Syrian Exporters Association of Clothing and Textile, Aleppo Chamber of Industry with the support of the Syrian Federation of Exporters and the Damascus Chamber of Industry and with the participation of more than one hundred Syrian companies.

Vice President of the Association of Syrian Exporters of Clothing and Textile Ferass Taqi Eddin said, “The exhibition marked by a large participation of industrialists from Aleppo, despite the difficult circumstances they are going through and they make a lot of contracts.”

 

According to the pavilion of flowers and ornamental plants, Head of the Arab Federation of Nurseries and Flowers Mohamed Al Shaba’ni said that the participation in the exhibition aims at familiarizing the Lebanese and the Arab visitors on the Syrian featured production and signing immediate and forward export contracts.

A number of Arab visitors to the exhibition pointed that the Syrian clothing products enjoy high popularity in the Arab markets and compete with foreign product, quality and price.

“The Syrian product has great confidence and interest of customers in Kuwait because of its high quality and competitive price,” noting that the establishment of such exhibitions encourage the merchant and offer him a lot of effort in the search for the Syrian markets, said Mohamed Khair Ibrahim Abu Horan from Kuwait 

For his part, Milad al Qarri from Lebanon said that the exhibition includes a very wide range of products, stressing that the distinctive organization of the exhibition according to the international standards provided an opportunity for visitors to see the exhibits with ease.

The exhibition was held on an area of about 4,000 square meters with the participation of about 100 Syrian companies specialized in clothing and fabric. The exhibition also included leather Industries, plastic arts, flowers and ornamental plants.

Syria Mod is one of the successful exhibitions in the Syrian market in the field of fashion, textile industries, production requirements and fabrics industry and supports its participants.
