74 sorties conducted over Aleppo, more than 70 terrorists killed

Provinces – Army operations against terrorist organizations have continued in several areas across the country where its units targeted their positions and gatherings, killing numbers of terrorists and destroying their weapons and equipment, SANA reported.

Aleppo

The Syrian Air Force conducted 39 combat sorties by bombers and 35 sorties by helicopters to support the ground forces in their operations against terrorist organizations in Aleppo during the past 24 hours, according to a military source.

 

Many hideouts and gatherings of terrorists and two munitions depots were hit in Kafar Hamra and Arran and three convoys of vehicles, some of which armored and equipped with machine guns, were destroyed in the western countryside of Aleppo.

In the same context, 70 terrorists were killed and a tank, two rocket launchers and three cannons were destroyed in the area of the military academies in southern Aleppo during operations conducted by the army units, backed by the Air Force.

The military source also said the Syrian Air Force destroyed a number of vehicles, some of which equipped with machineguns, in

the area surrounding Zardana village in the countryside of Idleb.

Meanwhile, the terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of Sulaiman Ahmad Abu al-Oyoun, who is identified as the “leader of a battalion within al-Iman Brigade” that is affiliated to “Ahrar al-Sham”. Mohammad Abdul-Kareem al-Dgheim, who is the military leader within “Al-Sham Legion” was also confirmed killed.

Daraa

An army unit destroyed a bulldozer for the terrorist groups while involved in setting up barriers and fortifications in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad area, the source said.

The source added that another army unit targeted the terrorists’ fortified positions in Daraa al-Balad and destroyed two mortar launcher pads in the vicinity of Bilal al-Habashi mosque.

To the east of Daraa city, an army unit carried out intensive strikes against a convoy of vehicles for the terrorists in al-Na’imeh town, destroying a number of vehicles and killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

A vehicle for the terrorist organizations was also destroyed as several of their members were killed in the army operations in the vicinity of Daraa Dam southeast of Daraa al-Balad area.

Deir Ezzor

Army units destroyed two ISIS positions and killed a number of terrorists in al-Mrei’iyeh and al-Bugheiliyeh in the countryside of Deir Ezzor province.
