Head of the special board monitoring implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Tuesday criticized Washington for violation of nuclear deal.
Abbas Araqchi said that the Foreign Ministry is ready to adopt reciprocal measures against potential violations of the nuclear deal between Iran and G5+1.
All Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been preserved and they are reversible if the other sides of the talks violate the nuclear deal, the deputy foreign minister said.
He referred to a recent meeting between Iranian negotiators and the G5+1 representatives, saying that the Iranian negotiators have reminded other parties of the importance of adopting serious measures for removal of banking hurdles and resumption of economic interactions according to the JCPOA.
The official criticized the US officials for wriggling out its JCPOA commitments, adding that some US government orders on removal of Iran’s sanctions are ambiguous.
He added that new sanctions by the US congress against Iran are also another problem for implementation of the JCPOA.
The US congress which is dominated by extremist and Zionist lobbies has ratified many sanctions against Iran which violate the nuclear deal directly or indirectly, Araqchi said.
He said that the anti-Iranian US congress resolutions have not been approved but the extremist anti-Iranian lobbies are manipulating them to disturb trust among the businessmen.
Iran has protested to the US for the psychological ramifications caused by measures adopted by the US congress, deputy foreign minister said.
He said that justifications by the US and European parties that the private companies can choose between doing business or doing business with Iran and that they are not under the government’s control are not acceptable.
The European banks need to be encouraged and supported by their governments to resume ties with Iran because they have been punished in the past by the US for engaging with the Islamic Republic, Araqchi added.
He said that when the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of Treasury remains to release contradictory messages regarding cooperation with the Islamic Republic, big banks and economic institutions are not expected to trust and revive relations with Iran.
Imposing new sanctions for any justifications tends to be violation of the JCPOA, deputy foreign minister said.
The US government has pledged to remove sanctions against Iran’s air industry which were imposed on the country 35 years ago, Araqchi noted.
Speaking to Nasimonline news outlet, he said that the US should issue required licenses needed to sell air industry equipments to Iran.
