National Center for Excelled Students Celebrates Graduation of Fifth Batch of Students in Presence of Mrs. Asma Al-Assad

LATAKKIA, (ST)- In the presence of First Lady, Mrs. Asma al-Assad, the National Center for Excelled Students on Sunday celebrated the graduation of the fifth batch of students in a ceremony held at Dar al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia.

The Center continues to supply the Syrian society with distinguished creative youths who are capable of coping with vast scientific development and of meeting the homeland’s need of skilled and excelled cadres.

During the celebration, the Center’s Director Iskandar Muneef said in a statement that the center aims at attracting young inventive potentials and providing them with special care and support as to help them contribute to the process of building the Syrian society .

 He added that the education process in the center is based on openness and the principle of development and modernization which are basically based on scientific research that urges inventive abilities.

He pointed out that during the past years, the center managed to settle some modern technology and its students were able to take part in the competitions of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad where they got international awards and achieved distinguished results.

Muneef thanks President Bashar Al-Assad and Mrs. Asma Al-Assad for their keenness on following up the activities of the Center.

 On his part, Alan Toumat, the graduate who got the highest mark in the center in the academic year 2015-2016, expressed his hope that the success of the students would be the good start of further excelling in their future specializations.

He vowed working hard with complete responsibility to achieve more successes that serve the homeland’s development.

Concluding the graduation ceremony, Mrs. Al-Assad honored 64 graduates and gave them their graduation certificates.
