Nasrallah: Resistance Victory in July War Aborted US New Middle East Project, Foiled Goals of Zionist Aggression
BINT JBEIL, Lebanon (ST)-Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasralla thanked Syria and Iran for supporting Lebanon and the Lebanese resistance during the war in July 2006.
Marking the tenth anniversary of the victory of the Lebanese resistance over the Israeli enemy in July war, Nasrallah addressed crowds in the south Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil saying “July victory hampered the US New Middle East Project and foiled the goals of the Israeli aggression which aimed at undermining the resistance axis.”
On July 12th 2006, the Zionist enemy launched a brutal war against Lebanon. The aggression lasted for 33 days, in which resistance fighters heroically fought the occupation forces.
The town of Bint Jbeil witnessed one of the main battles against tithe Israeli soldiers who launched a ground incursion into the Lebanese territories.
Narsrallah stressed that victory was achieved due to the will, steadfastness, well planning and sacrifices of resistance men.
Al-Manar Website quoted Hizbollah Secretary General as stressing that the Zionist entity was hit during this war in its spirit, arrogance and existence. He recalled his famous saying that “Israel is weaker than spider web.”
Talking about the repercussions of July war on Israel, Narallah said the Israeli army’s losses led to distrust between the army, political command and the Israeli people.
Deterrence of resistance bolstered after July war
He added that following July war the deterrence of the resistance was bolstered and the Israeli military doctrine, which is based on swift victories, fighting in the enemy’s land, calm home front, has fallen, noting that Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanya himself said that after July war things changed and it’s clear now that Israel is no longer an invincible state.
US Created Daesh to crush resistance
He pointed out that Obama’s administration has created “Deash” terrorist takfiri organization and its affiliated groups in order to crush resistance axis after the US New Middle East project was foiled thanks to the steadfastness of resistance.
Nasrallah went on to say that the United States used some regimes in the region, particularly Saudi Arabia, to support terrorist takfiri groups which the US created, funded, armed and trained by the Arabs’ money, referring to the US presidential candidate Donald Trump’s remarks in this regard.
He vowed that Hezbollah will go on with its battles against terrorists in the Syrian city of Aleppo and in every place where resistance presence is necessary .
He clarified that “Deash” and other terrorist groups are merely a card to be used in the US presidential elections, because the terrorist groups were used by the Americans for own political agenda and today it is time for getting rid of them.
He urged all the terrorist groups in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and other countries to realize that they were used to kill people of the region, destroy its countries and undermine the axis of resistance to serve the interests of “Israel” and America.
