Army establishes control over Hosh Nasri in Damascus Countryside, eliminates terrorists in other areas

Provinces – More terrorist groups’ leaders have been killed as a result of the army’s continued operations against terrorist organizations in several provinces, including in ambushes and through targeting their positions and sites, SANA reported.

Damascus Countryside

Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established full control over Hosh Nasri village in the Eastern Ghouta area in Damascus Countryside, a military source announced on Friday.

The source said that this was army and popular defense units established control over the village which near the town of Douma following violent clashes with terrorist organizations that resulted in eliminating the last remaining pockets of terrorists in it.

 

The source went on to say that engineering units canvassed the village and dismantled IEDs and landmines left behind by the terrorists, most of whom were killed while the rest had fled, and army units are currently pursuing the fleeing terrorists.

The source noted that Hosh Nasri was a main defense line for terrorist groups in Douma, which is one of the largest hotbeds of terrorists in the Eastern Ghouta.

Aleppo

A military source said Friday that the Air Force destroyed several sites for terrorists and a large number of armored cars, car bombs, vehicles equipped with machine guns and others loaded with ammunition and killed tens of terrorists in areas south of the military academies, south of al-Hikma School, in the vicinity of Project 1070, in the area surrounding al-Ramousa, kafr Naha, Kafr Hamra, al-Ameriyeh and south of the gas plant in Aleppo.

Daraa

An army unit killed most members of a terrorist group that was transporting ammunition southeast of Daraa city.

Quneitra

An army unit set up an ambush against a terrorist group, killing all of its members, in al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh village in the southern Quneitra province.

Another army unit, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, targeted a terrorist group in Ufania village, 2km north of Khan Arnabeh, killing and injuring all of its members.

Sweida

An army unit killed a number of ISIS terrorists in Shinwan village in Sweida northeastern countryside.

Homs

An army unit carried out a special operation in which a number of terrorists of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” were killed in al-Ghajar village in Homs northern countryside.

The killed terrorists included two leaders within “Ahrar al-Sham” terrorist organization; Maher al-Tamer and Abu Nabeel Delli, in addition to the terrorists Ahmad al-Najjar and Khaled Delli.

The army operation resulted also in injuring a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
