90.000 Foreign Terrorists Still Fighting alongside Terrorist Organizations in Syria: German Study

BERLIN, (ST)-Hundreds of thousands of terrorists from all over the world and of about 93 nationalities have joined fight alongside the terrorist organizations in Syria since April 2011.

 According to a German research study prepared by Firil Center for Studies, the number of foreign terrorists reached 360.000 by the end of 2015. This number includes women terrorists as well as all who took part in direct fight or provided military and logistic support, in addition to doctors, nurses  and “sexual Jihadists”. The study clarified, noting that the biggest gathering of terrorists in history happened in Syria.

 The study showed that some 45 billion USD were spent to fund terrorist attacks and weapon shipments delivered by several countries to the terrorists in Syria.

It said that there are 90.000 foreign terrorists currently fighting in Syria, major part of them joined Deash and Jabhat al-Nousra terrorist organizations.

 The number of terrorists of American and European nationalities reached 21,500, only 8,500 of them have returned to their home countries, the study added.

 Turkey came first in the total number of terrorists and this included Turkish army personnel, officers, intelligence servicemen and members of the “Gray Wolves” organization, said the study, noting that the army of the Turkish regime has lost more than 350 soldiers, officers and pilots in the aggression on Syria, but the Turkish media cited other reasons for their death.

Also, according to the study, Saudi Arabia has got the biggest share of terrorists killed in Syria with the number reached 5990 killed terrorists out of 24,500 Saudi terrorists who joined the extremist takfiri organizations in Syria.

The number of Jordanian terrorists fighting alongside the terrorist groups in Syria reached 3900 out of who 1990 were killed, the study added, pointing out that the year 2015 witnessed a rise in the number of terrorists coming from central Asia countries to fight in Syria.

As for the number of foreign women terrorists, the study said Tunis comes first, because 180 Tunisian women and teenage girls participated in the so-called “sex jihad”. 45 of them were killed, added the study.
