Syrian Arab Army.. Real Defender and Guarantee to Safeguard Homeland

DAMASCUS– Since its foundation 71 years ago and until today, the Syrian Arab Army has proved its competency to be the real defender of the country and its territorial unity, a report by the Syrian Arab News Agency SANA said.

“Homeland, Honor, Loyalty” has remained the motto of the Syrian army since it was founded in 1940’s to reiterate that the Syrian soldiers will always be the unknown heroes who are ready to sacrifice their souls for the sake of the homeland.

Syria’s war against terrorism for more than five years calls to our minds the heroism and bravery of the Syrian soldiers who fought against the Zionist occupation and destroyed its legend during the October Liberation War.

The Syrian army’s recent victories in the countryside of Aleppo, Damascus and Lattakia reaffirm the steadfastness, strength and determination of Syrian soldiers to defeat terrorists and mercenaries of Al Saud, Al Thani and Erdogan and preserve their country against any attack.

The Syrian Arab army’s achievements has continued starting with defeating and expelling the French troops from the Syrian territories in 1946, participating in facing the tripartite aggression on Egypt in 1956 and the civil war in Lebanon 1975, the Israeli invasion of Lebanon 1982 and foiling its last aggression on the country in 2006 as well as thwarting all conspiring schemes of the West, the US and their allies in the region due to Syria’s principled stances.

With such devotion, determination and support of the Syrian people, Syria’ enemies will never be able to undermine Syria’s unity and steadfastness.
