President Al-Assad Urges All the Syrians to Stand Side by Side with Their Army to Uproot Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST))-President Bashar Al-Assad has called on all the Syrians to stand side by side with the Syrian Arab Army which is determined to uproot terrorism, particularly after it has been proved that this terrorism is targeting Syria as a homeland, people, civilization and identity, according to a statement issued on Thursday by the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic.

 The statement said “national reconciliation is the best and most important way to put an end to the violence, destruction and acts of terrorism hitting the homeland…Today, after the danger of these violent acts on our homeland has become evident to all, President Bashar Al-Assad urges all the Syrians, who carried weapons, to return to the homeland lap and lay down their arms and he stresses that they will find Syria, as it has been, the tender mother who embraces all her children and protect them and their future.”

“By doing this, we all can restore the security and stability of which we have been proud,” the statement said.

It added that the chance is now available to all who carried weapons to confirm their belongingness to the homeland, to abandon violence and weapon and then be engaged in Syria’s reconstruction process…”They will find that tolerance will prevail and all eyes will look at the future and at building Syria’s future in a way that satisfies all the Syrians and that fits the country’s history, civilization and identity of which we have been proud,” according to the statement.
