Dr. Shaaban: Events in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Tunis Serve Zionism’s Interests, Schemes

DAMASCUS, ((ST)-The majority of the Syrian people realize that what is going on in Syria , Iraq, Yemen, Libya  and Tunis serves Zionism’s interests and schemes, underscored the Presidential Political and Media Advisor, Dr. Botuthaina Shaaban, stressing that the Syrian people will continue to love Palestine and defend the Palestinian cause.

In a statement to journalists following her meeting on Sunday with a delegation representing the Palestinian-Iranian Friendship Association, Shaaban hailed the sacrifices offered by the Palestinian factions’ youths in their fight alongside the Syrian Arab Army in its war on terrorism in Syria.

“We all have to support resistance axis in order to free our nation from subordination,” Shaaban said, praising the cultural role being played by the Palestinian-Iranian Friendship Association and al-Quds Foundation as to consolidate support for resistance.

“Our meeting aims to shed light on resistance axis and on the importance of cultural and social action,” Shaaban said, noting that the nation grows stronger when efforts and potentials of all states are coordinated and unified.

On the crime of beheading a Palestinian child in the northern countryside of Aleppo by the terrorist groups, Shaaban said the terrorist act is similar to the Zionist crime of killing the Palestinian child Mohammad al-Durra in Palestine.

“Whether it is in Palestine or Aleppo, the place does not matter since all our children are being targeted by the Zionist project, but the remarkable thing is that the crime in Aleppo had not received the media attention as in the case of martyr al-Durra,” Shaaban said.

She pointed out that a major part of the terrorist war on Syria is the media battle, “so we need to speak up to let the entire world hear and know that what is happening in our nation today is a photocopy of what the Zionist entity has done over 60 years in the occupied Palestinian territories.
