Pear Production for the current season in Sweida

Sweida, (ST) – Sweida Agriculture Directorate estimated the total production of the province of  pear crop for the current season about 2211tons by 2198 tons off unirrigated treeless land and the rest irrigated.

Head of the Plant Wealth Department at the Directorate of Agriculture Eng.  Akram Sarai Eddinsai in a statement to SANA correspondent that the crop of pear production for the current season is more than good compared to the last few years.

The total areas planted with pear trees 492 hectares and the total number of trees is about 149 thousand trees and the number of the productive trees is 130 thousand trees.

Concentrated mostly in towns Mafaleh, Qanawat, Al-Kafr

The pear crop production for the last season 1258 tons in Sweida province
