ALEPPO, (ST)-Tens of civilians were martyred and injured in US-led coalition air raids on Aleppo countryside.
According to media sources, the warplanes of the US-led coalition at dawn raided al-Tokhan village, 14km north of Manbej in Aleppo countryside, claiming the lives of scores of people and wounding others including women and children. some of the injured are in critical situation.
Local sources said that tens of people were trapped under the rubble of the destroyed buildings and houses. Dead bodies were pulled as search continued aiming to find survivors.
Since August 2014, the United States has been leading a coalition formed allegedly to fight ISIS terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq. The coalition carried out thousands of airstrikes but failed to stop the expansion of the extremist organization or to achieve any progress on ground due to its lack of seriousness in the fight against terrorism and because it didn’t coordinate with the Syrian and Iraqi governments in this respect.
Early this year, the United States acknowledged that the coalition’s air raids killed civilians in the residential area of al-Radwaneya in Aleppo countryside on October 18th last year. The airstrikes also destroyed two electrical power plants in the area.
On November 26th, 2015, the coalition targeted water pump stations in al-Khafsa area northern Aleppo, causing a stop of work in the station.
