Around 38 oil paintings by the artist Sakha’a Jnod have been featured in the exhibition hall of the Arab Cultural Center in Sweida city, south of Syria.

The paintings depict the suffering of people during the current crisis in Syria and the role of woman in confronting the repercussions of the crisis, the artist declared, indicating the 10-day exhibition is here first individual exhibition.

The role of woman in society was also depicted in many paintings exposed in another exhibition held two days ago in the Dar al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia on the occasion of the World Population Day .

Over 15 young artists took part in the exhibition, which included paintings on the suffering and dreams of teenage girls, immigration, optimism and hope.

The Syrian Youth Council in cooperation with the Syrian Commission for Family Affairs organized the exhibition in Lattakia.
