Cessation of hostilities agreement violated three more times by terrorists

 

Lattakia  – The Russian coordination center said on Sunday that the cessation of hostilities agreement has been violated three times by terrorist groups, raising the total number of violations to 784 since the agreement came into effect on 27 February, SANA reported.

The Russian center, based in Hmeimim airbase in Lattakia, added in a statement that the so-called Jaish al-Islam has violated the agreement three times during the past 24 hours by targeting a number of residential neighborhoods in Damascus with mortar shells.

The number of towns which have joined the agreement of the cessation of hostilities has raised to 188.

 

The statement said that Jabhat al-Nusra and the ISIS terrorists fired local-made artillery rounds and mortar shells against Braij al-Rih, Bashkoei towns and al-Sheikh Maqsoud, al-Khaldiyeh, al-Zahra neighborhoods and al-Nairab Airport and the

Height 503 in Aleppo in addition to targeting the towns of al-Bahariyeh, Hosh al-Farah, Hatitet al-Jarash and al-Qaboun in Damascus countryside and a number of towns in Daraa and Lattakia Provinces.

The cessation of hostilities agreement does not cover ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
