PA Speaker, Information Minister Meet Egyptian Political and Mass Media Delegation

DAMASCUS,(ST)- ” the political program to solve the crisis in Syria is the main exit to overcome the ongoing events and an important stage in the political solution in participation with all sides,”said PA Speaker Mohammad Jihad Laham.

Laham’s remarks came during a meetind held on Monday with Egyptian media political bodies.

“the majority of the opposition outside Syria do not enjoy popular base and if they were confident of their political proposals, the door is open for dialogue with everyone who protects the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria,”stressed Laham.

Al-Laham reviewed the reality of the ongoing events in Syria and the war which is launched against the Syrian people to undermine Syria’s national role.

Earlier,Information Minister Omran al-Zou’bi met a delegation of Egyptian political and mass media figures headed by Secretary General of the Egyptian Nasserite Party Ahmed al-Hussein.

“what is happening in Syria has nothing to do with the “Arab spring.”said Hussein.

Members of the delegation voiced support for the Syrian people in the face of the conspiracy targeting it, with

Hussein  hailed the Syrian people’s steadfastness in the face of armed terrorist groups and Jabhet al-Nusra.

 “the conspiracy against Syria is doomed to fail thanks to the victories of the Syrian Arab Army,”underscored Hussein.

The delegation members lauded the political program for resolving the crisis in Syria and the national dialogue.

For his part, Minister al-Zou’bi praised  the political forces’ stances and the role of journalists who spare no effort to convey the reality of events in Syria, underlining  that those who target Syria are targeting the entire Arab nation.

Al-Zou’bi  also briefed the delegation on the mechanisms of materializing  the political program for resolving the crisis and launching national dialogue across Syria.
