Terrorist groups breach cessation of hostilities agreement 4 times in Damascus countryside

 

Lattakia – The Russian coordination center at Hmeimim airbase in Lattakia affirmed that terrorist groups have breached the cessation of hostilities agreement four times during the last 24 hours, putting the total number of breaches at 776 since the agreement came into effect on 27 February, SANA reported.

The center said in a statement on Thursday that the so-called Jaish al-Islam terrorists targeted with mortar rounds the towns of Harasta, Erbin, Jobar and Douma in Damascus countryside.

It indicated that the number of Syrian towns which joined the agreement rose to 185, affirming that the Russian Air Force did not target positions of armed groups that announced commitment to the agreement.

 

On the other hand, the center affirmed that the Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorist organizations continued attempts to undermine the agreement by targeting with mortar and rocket shells a number of neighborhoods, towns and area in Aleppo, including al-Nairab airport, in addition to targeting several areas in Damascus and Homs.

The cessation of hostilities agreement does not include Jabhat al-Nusra, ISIS and other groups listed by the UN as terrorist organizations.
