Theresa May Fails to Curb Migration to UK, Tackle Terror Threat

UK incoming Prime Minister Theresa May failed to carry out the Conservative Party’s policy of reducing immigration below 100,000 per annum, according to the British Democratic Party.

Britain’s Home Secretary Theresa May, who is due to take over as prime minister on Wednesday, leaves after a cabinet meeting at number 10 Downing Street, in central London, Britain July 12, 2016.

Moscow UK incoming Prime Minister Theresa May has failed to reach targets on immigration and curb crime and terrorism during her time as home secretary, the British Democratic Party told Sputnik on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, May, known for her tough stance on immigration, is set to become the United Kingdom’s next prime minister, following David Cameron’s official resignation, after being home secretary for the past six years.

“Mrs. May was a disastrous failure as Home Secretary, presiding over near record immigration, including the return into the UK of ISIS [Islamic State] terrorists,” the far-right UK party stated.

The incumbent home secretary also failed to carry out the Conservative Party’s policy of reducing immigration below 100,000 per annum, British Democrats noted.

“Not least, she has failed to crackdown on Asian pedophile gangs in the Midlands. Finally, she has implemented cuts to the Police budget, impairing the morale of the Police,” the UK party added.

“Mrs. May’s government, we believe, will continue transatlantic globalist policies in the economic sphere and her government’s foreign policy will remain subservient to American strategy in both the Middle East and

towards Russia and the Ukraine, in which NATO has now become a policy instrument of the USA,” the party said.

Britain’s Home Secretary Theresa May attends a press conference in London, Britain, June 30, 2016.

The British Democrats added that May would continue to embrace the tenets of political correctness, which has “so successfully combined with globalist economic policies to undermine Western civilization.”

May’s only rival Andrea Leadsom’s surprise pullout from the Conservative Party leadership race on Monday cut the campaign short, meaning she will soon be asked by the Queen to form a new government.

In her first speech since her appointment, May pledged to unite the country and to make leaving the European Union a success, a move decided during a national vote on June 23 and triggered by UK nationals’ desire to have more control over migration and restore control of the UK borders, among other issues.
