DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Thousands of citizens have participated in the march of lit candles called for by religious, popular and youth activists in Bab Touma on Saturday evening emphasizing the fact that Syria is the land of amity and brotherhood among all its people.
The marchers appealed the Gold Almighty illuminate the paths of peace and love in Syria and expressed hope that Syria will remain as before, a country of tolerance and love.
Speaking to the marchers, Patriarch Gregory III Laham, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Orthodox said: Our participation in this march is for the sake of our beloved Syria and for the Syrians to be with God.
“We pray for all the injured and those who are suffering in hospitals, appeal the God Almighty for their quick recovery and comfort for the families of the diseased.” Patriarch Lahham added.
