Close relations linking ISIS with Erdogan’s regime

The relations of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) with ISIS are “dirty” ones. There are joint points between ISIS thoughts and AKP ideology and leadership particularly that of President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Erdogan supports all terrorist organizations in Syria including ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham to realize his Ottoman dreams and did not hesitate to establish all secret and public relations with all terrorist groups in Syria with the aim of destroying it and displacing its people.

Erdogan does not consider ISIS a terrorist organization and feel shameful of that description because he does not want to eliminate it. Leaders of the terrorist organizations in Syria usually meet in Ankara under the protection of the Turkish regime which train and arm terrorists in the city of Urfa, while Erdogan’s ruling party of Justice and Development (AKP) does not hesitate to form militias to perpetrate terrorist activities in Syria and the region, even inside Turkey against the Kurds and all the country’s opponents.

There are weapon-loaded trucks  bringing weapons to the terrorist organizations.  What was uncovered then is a very small number, while in fact the number of trucks exceeds thousands that have brought weapons and all equipment for terrorists into Syria since the beginning of the crisis.

Erdogan’s policies in Syria are dangerous and failed.  Those dangerous and failed policies have reflected negatively on Turkey where Erdogan tries to cover them with establishing a dictatorship regime to prevent the opposition from criticizing him over his policies towards Syria and his relations with the terrorist organizations.

According to many Turkish politicians and intellectuals, the Turkish regime under Erdogan is the main threat to Turkey and the region due to Erdogan’s policies of supporting terrorism and opening borders for takfiri mercenaries to flow into Syria with weapon-loaded trucks as well as hosting training camps for terrorists.

The attempt by some UN member states to justify their military intervention in Syria under the pretext of the fight against ISIS terrorist organization without coordination with the Syrian government represents a distortion of the provisions of the UN Charter and manipulation of international law.

The UN should hold the governments of the countries which support terrorism accountable and compel them to cease their violations of international law and the UN charter,  failing to do so will send a wrong message of tolerance to terrorists and their supporters.

There is a  necessity of coordinating the efforts that aim at confronting the phenomenon of foreign terrorists in Syria, these foreign terrorists’ number exceeded tens of thousands, according to UN reports.

There is also a necessity for drying up the financing sources of terrorism, including the direct financial support provided by some governments to terrorist organizations, in addition to tackling the trafficking of the illegal Syrian oil, products, looted archeological artifacts, and its cultural properties.

The UN should work for preventing terrorists from acquiring WMDs or means to produce and deploy it.

There is a need to hold the states which provide chemical weapons to terrorists in Syria accountable.

The only way to fight terrorism is to establish an effective international coalition within the framework of international legitimacy and with the participation of relevant countries, on top of which the Syrian state which is the main party confronting terrorism in the region.

Any effort to combat terrorism will not be successful if it contradicts the provisions of the UN Charter and the principles of international law and if it’s carried out without prior coordination and full cooperation with the governments of the concerned countries.
