Lt. Gen. Ayoub Inspects Army Units in Aleppo

ALEPPO, (ST)-Upon request of President Bashar Al-Assad, Command-in -Chief of the Army and Armed Forces,  Chief of the Army General Staff Lt. General  Ali Abdullah Ayoub on Monday visited the army units and military positions in Aleppo and Aleppo countryside on Athriya-Attabqa axis and inspected the fighters’ situation and combat preparedness.

 Lt. Gen. Ayoub conveyed to the fighters President Al-Assad’s greetings and feeling of pride in their heroic deeds.  He stressed the Syrian soldiers’ important role in confronting and eliminating terrorist organizations and in foiling all the schemes that seek undermining Syria’s unity and sovereignty.

The Chief of the army staff was briefed by field commanders on the military operations that were carried out against ISIS terrorist organization and on plans to enhance combat operations in Aleppo.

Concluding his tour, Lt. Gen. Ayoub said Syria will triumph over aggression forces thanks to the sacrifices and successes of the Syrian army.

On their part, the fighters stressed that they will continue to be ready for fighting terrorism and its supporters until Syria is cleared completely of terrorists.
