The Army advances aroud al-Shaer gas field, destroys terrorist positions in other areas

Provinces – The Syrian Army Air Force on Tuesday launched air strikes against ISIS positions, destroying their gatherings and vehicles in a number of province, SANA reported.

Deir Ezzor

Vehicles and positions for the ISIS terrorists were destroyed in sorties against their gatherings in Deir Ezzor.

A military source said that the army air force carried out airstrikes against  gatherings and fortified positions of the ISIS terrorists in al-Sinaa neighborhood and to the west of Deir Ezzor airport.

 The source added that mortar launchers, an artillery, positions and vehicles belonging to the Takfiri terrorists were destroyed in the sorties and a number of terrorists were killed.

Homs

In the central province of Homs, the military source affirmed that vehicles and gatherings were destroyed during continuous army strikes against terrorists in the countryside of Palmyra in the eastern part of the province.

The source explained that the Syrian army’s air force conducted early Tuesday sorties over Palmyra countryside where it destroyed ISIS terrorists’ vehicles in the vicinity of al-Shaer gas field and in the northern countryside of Palmyra.

Later the source announced that an army unit, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, established control over al-Sawan Hill which overlooks the the road linking al-Eqeirbat junction with al-Shaer field.

In the northern countryside of Homs, an army unit clashed with terrorist groups that attacked military points, killing a number of their members, including the so called “Abu Sanad” and “Abu Aseel” who are identified as military leaders operating within “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” and Jabhat al-Nusra.

Damascus Countryside

Army units carried out special operations against gatherings and dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and other terrorist groups affiliated to it in Khan al-Sheeh town in southwestern Damascus Countryside.

A source on the ground said that an army unit engaged in fierce clashes with Jabhat al-Nusra and “al-Fatiheen brigade” terrorist group in the area between al-Khamara, Saloum villa, and the pharmaceuticals factory to the west of Khan al-Sheeh town.

The clashes resulted in killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns, the source added.
