Takfiris to Pay Dear for Deadly Attack on Khan Touman: Iran’s Rezaei

TEHRAN– Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei warned the Takfiri terrorists of the heavy price they are going to pay for inflicting casualties on forces in Syria’s Khan Touman, including a number of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) military advisers.

In a post on his Instagram page, Rezaei, himself a major general of the IRGC, vowed harsh response to the Takfiris –the stooges of Zionists- for their attack against the Iranian military advisers in Khan Touman, according to Tasnim News.

He also hammered Saudi Arabia and Turkey for providing military support for the Takfiri militants and misusing the declared ceasefire in the region for conducting surprise raid against the Syrian village and killing Syrian forces and Iranian advisers.

Rezaei also paid tribute to the “heroes” from Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran that were martyred in the attack, saying their courage evokes memories of eight years of defense in the Iraqi imposed war against Iran in the 1980s.

13 IRGC military advisers were martyred and 21 others wounded in Khan Touman in an attack by the Takfiri terrorists, IRGC said at a statement on Saturday.

Iran, a close ally of Syria, has been supporting the legitimate Syrian government in the fight against terrorists.

Tehran has already made it clear that its assistance to Syria is confined to consultation and advisory help.
