Damascus University held Sunday a graduation ceremony for 70 Arab students, who had completed their studies at the faculties of Medicine, Engineering, Literature, Law and political sciences.

The graduates said in a speech given by Mohammad Sheker- on behalf of them- that Damascus University will remain a lighthouse for science and civilization despite the terror war being waged on Syria.

On his part rector of the Damascus University Dr. Mohammad Hassan al-Kurdi called on the graduates to be Syria’s ambassadors in their countries, highly appreciating the role of the Syrian students union inside Syria and abroad.

“Students have defended their homeland and challenged the storm of sedition through continuing their study at faculties,” Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Damascus University branch Jamal al-Mahmod said during the ceremony held under the slogan “with our blood we will redeem Syria”.
