PRAGUE, (ST)- Tomio Okamura, leader of the Czech Freedom and Direct Democracy Party and member of the Czech Parliament, has stressed that the Saudi regime is an example of “savage dictatorship”.
“The recent election of the Saudi regime as head of the UN Human Rights Committee was [political madness] by the countries which adopted its nomination” Okamura said in a commentary published on his website on Saturday.
He lashed out at the United States’ criticism of the Czech republic over its way of dealing with the immigrants issue, stressing that this criticism was not strange particularly after Saudi Arabia became president of the UN Human Rights Committee.
“The American administration, which is criticizing the Czech Republic, has itself been kidnapping people from different parts of the world, imprison them and torture them without trials at a time when thousands of people in America die of hunger, coldness and diseases without getting any help from this administration,” Okamura said.
Western military interventions caused terrorism spreading
Meanwhile, former chief of the Czech military intelligence body “Andro Shandors” has criticized the counterterrorism mechanism which ignores dealing with the reasons behind the spread of terrorism represented by western military interventions.
“Western interventions in which military force irresponsibly was used have caused instability in several countries which are currently facing dangers that are now threatening Europe of terrorism,” Shandors said.
