Iran enjoys valuable experiences in combat against terrorism, said President Hassan Rouhani, adding that Tehran can share such experiences with other countries including Macedonia.
Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting Monday with visiting Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki.
Terrorism is a threat to the entire world, the Iranian President stressed.
The youths should be vaccinated against the ideology of extremism, said he, adding some are trying to attribute deviant mindsets to Islam, and direct the youths to terrorist and extremist moves.
On Tehran-Skopje ties, Rouhani said the two have not used well the existing capacities for bilateral cooperation.
He then urged to take the opportunities for furthering mutual ties, stressing there is no obstacles to achieve that end.
For his part, Poposki said his country is determined to develop ties with Iran as it is to open embassy in Tehran in near future.
Referring to presence of a high-ranking Macedonia delegation in Iran, Poposki said such presence proves his country’s determination to raise the level of bilateral cooperation.
On the issue of terrorism, he said the world today is concerned over that phenomenon; stressing fight against it needs all countries’ efforts.
Macedonia FM sees no military solution to regional crises
Meanwhile, Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki said his country saw no military solution possible for the Middle East crises.
Talking in a joint press conference with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday, he noted that despite many rounds of talks so far, the only conclusion is that there is no military solution to the crises.
Elaborating on the problems refugee-seekers face in their way to Europe, he said Macedonian borders are the only gateways for these to get into Europe.

Poposki arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a two-day visit.
He met with President Hassan Rouhani and palrliament Speakder Ali Larijani this morning.
This is the first visit by a senior Macedonian official to Iran after the independence of the country.
