NAM: Occupation Government’s Meeting in Occupied Syrian Golan Violates International Laws, UNSC Resolutions

NEW YORK, (ST)-The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) has condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli government’s meeting in the occupied Syrian Golan.  

In a statement of which SANA got a copy on Saturday, the movement said the Israeli cabinet’s provocative meeting in the occupied Golan and the remarks made by the Israeli prime minister on Golan violate international laws and the Security Council resolutions.

 NAM affirmed that “all the procedures adopted or will be adopted by the Israeli occupation to change the legal and demographic status of the occupied Syrian Golan and impose the occupation’s laws and administrative measures on it are null and void and are of no legal basis”.

It renewed its call on Israel to comply with the Security Council resolution 497 of 1981 and to withdraw its occupying forces from the Syrian Golan to the June 4th 1967 line in implementation of UNSC resolutions Nos. 242 and 338.

The Non-Aligned Movement comprises 120 countries as members in addition 17 countries as observers.
