Syrian army’s victories, severe blow to ISIS and its backers

The great victories of the Syrian Arab Army have been a strong and direct political and diplomatic motive for the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva.

The Syrian delegation has shown the highest level of discipline and commitment among all the groups participating in the intra-Syrian dialogue, while from the very beginning of the current round of the  talks, the Riyadh delegation started to stir problems that derail the political solution by order of their masters in Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar.

The dialogue is targeted by the Saudi, Turkish and Qatari diplomacy because they don’t want a peaceful and political solution in Syria and they are able to fabricate stories that somehow impede the dialogue such as the federalism and other stories .

Prior to each round of dialogue there were feverish and desperate attempts by some Western and regional  parties to belittle victories of our brave army against terrorists in its battle to uproot takfiri terrorism from our country.

The Syrian army’s determination, coupled with the effective support of the Russian air force, have yielded this great achievement for Syria and humanity.

Palmyra had been reduced to ruins several times throughout history.

As it was previously restored, so it will be restored again so as to remain a cultural heritage and treasure for the entire world.

Security and stability were restored to the ancient city of Palmyra following a series of precise and effective military operations that were carried out by the army units with the help of the popular defense groups, being backed by the Syrian and Russian Air Forces.

Having Palmyra in the army’s hands is an important achievement and new evidence of the effectiveness of the strategy followed by the Syrian army and its allies in the war against terrorism.

The effectiveness of this strategy is further highlighted especially as opposed to the US-led coalition involving more than sixty countries and its lack of seriousness in fighting terrorism and the very little it has achieved since its establishment one and a half years ago.

Palmyra city is now fully cleared of ISIS terrorists after the army established complete control over all its parts, including the archeological site and the airport.

Sources on the ground estimated the number of ISIS terrorists killed in the battles at 450,  including foreign mercenaries who had earlier infiltrated Palmyra city from the directions of Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and the Iraqi borders.

The army units and the popular defense groups have hunted down ISIS terrorists on the outskirts of Palmyra city and the surrounding orchards, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

Establishing complete control on Palmyra constitutes a severe blow to ISIS terrorist organization and the beginning of its collapse and defeat.

Syria is the gate of fighting terrorism and many westerners became convinced with dangers of tens of thousands of foreign terrorists who were brought to Syria through the borders with Turkey and Jordan under the supervision of many countries’ intelligence apparatus .

 Russia has a long-term political vision and is able to conduct dialogue with all, while Washington depends on incorrect reports issued by the Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel.

Our brave army, in cooperation with friends, is the only force capable of fighting terrorism and eradicating it. The Syrian Army units in cooperation with the popular defense groups and Russian and Syrian air forces, will continue the military operations against ISIS and Jabhat al- Nusra and other terrorist organization.
