Lattakia Governor, Russian Ambassador Discuss Economic Cooperation

Lattakia, (ST) – Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Kheder al -Salem discussed here yesterday with the Ambassador of the Republic of the Russian Federation Alexander Kenshak mechanisms to enhance cooperation in economic and trade fields and the establishment of joint ventures in the governorate.

Mr. al -Salem confirmed the need to invest all available opportunities and possibilities to facilitate the flow of goods between the two countries and the establishment of investment projects to the benefit of the two peoples.

 

Mr. al -Salem also reviewed the reality of the province and the elements of investment, efforts and facilities provided to companies and businessmen from the Russian Federation as well as the follow-up of operations to improve agricultural product quality and packaging to be in conformity with the specifications of export to the Russian Federation.

For his part, Mr. Kenshak expressed satisfaction over the level of cooperation between the two countries in all areas of cooperation and his country’s seek to develop cooperation with Syria in the economic and commercial sides, pointing to Russia’s encouragement to Russian businessmen and companies to make investments in Syria and to activate cooperation in educational and cultural fields.
