Displaced Families in Lattakia Receive New Russian Humanitarian Aid

LATTAKIA- Displaced families in the Syrian province of Lattakia on Friday received a new batch of humanitarian aid offered by the Russian government and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). The families had left their areas in other Syrian provinces and came to Lattakia fleeing the atrocities of the Turkish and Saudi-backed terrorist organizations.

The aid, which was distributed to tens of families staying in Jihad al-Mashi and Kersana temporary housing center in Lattakia, included food, flour and children’s requirements. Medical checkup and care in addition to medicines were also provided to the families through a mobile clinic.

“Russia will continue to provide humanitarian and food aid to the Syrians in the areas where security and stability have been restored,” said Representative of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim, who is in charge of supervising the aid distribution process.

The displaced families, on their part, hailed SARC relief efforts to ease the suffering of the displaced people and highly appreciated the Russian support for the Syrian people in the confrontation of the most heinous terrorist war in contemporary history.

They expressed confidence that terrorism in Syria will be defeated thanks the efforts of the Syrian Arab army and the support of Syria’s allies and real friends.
