Turkey Keeps Providing “Jabhat al-Nusra” with Arms and Terrorists: Russian Army General Staff

MOSCOW- The Turkish regime is still supporting “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorist organization and providing it with weapons and terrorists, General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces announced on Monday, according to the Syrian News Agency SANA.

“The Turkish side keeps sending weapons and gunmen to Jabhat al-Nusra and its affiliated groups, despite the advance that has been achieved in the cessation of hostilities  agreement, according to Lieutenant General Sergey Rudskoy, Chief of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff’s Main Operational Directorate.

 Lt. Gen. Rudskoy said the Russian side has asked Washington through different channels to pressure Turkey as to halt its support for the terrorists being a threat destabilizing the region.   

The Russian officer clarified that “two armed groups of more than 100 members arrived in Handarat camp, north of Aleppo, along with a tank and 22 vehicles carrying machine guns.” Nearly 200 gunmen have arrived in Tal Hadyah town in Aleppo northern countryside,” he added.

Some 10 thousand terrorists operate in Aleppo province, 8 thousand of them are Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists having positions in southwestern Aleppo while 1500 others exist in the northern part of the city, according to the Rudskoy.
