14 Martyred, 50 Wounded in Rocket Shelling against Aleppo Neighborhood

Aleppo, (ST) – A terrorist rocket and mortar shelling on Tuesday targeted Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo claiming the lives of 14 people and wounding more than 50 others.

The martyr toll may increase because many victims are still under the rubble of three building collapsed in the attack.

The attack is a new violation of the “cessation of hostilities” agreement by the terrorist organizations in Aleppo.

 Locals told the state news agency SANA that tens of rocket and mortar shells were fired by terrorists having positions in areas neighboring Sheikh Maqsoud district causing the martyrdom of ten people and the wounding of dozens.

According to the locals, the terrorist shelling caused huge damage to the houses and properties of residents.

Yesterday, the terrorist organizations also targeted Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood and other residential areas in Aleppo with tens of rockets. Eight people were martyred and 20 were wounded in the attack which also caused heavy material damage to houses.

The Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimem has observed 351 breaches of the “cessation of hostilities” agreement by the terrorist groups since the agreement was enforced on February 27th.
