The Syrian Social Nationalist Party has held several activities to celebrate the Syrian New Year within the 2ndCultural Spring Festival kicked off last Thursday in Lattakia.
The activities focused on the Syrian legend, local environment, immigration and self-reliance to gain livelihood, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency clarified the Syrian legend was featured in art works and sculptures shown in an exhibition, while immigration topic was raised during a stage show.
The self-reliance to get a livelihood was clear in an exhibition featuring handicrafts made by women from the group of daughters and sons of martyrs.
The Syrian New Year, which known as Babylonian New Year’s festival in the third millennium BC, falls on April 1st and its activities will last until Monday.
