Syria Strongly Condemns Lahore Terrorist Bombing, Affirms Need to Unify International Anti-Terror Efforts

DAMASCUS, (ST) – The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the coward terrorist attack which targeted the Pakistani city of Lahore and claimed the lives of dozens of innocent people, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in statement on Monday.

The ministry expressed Syria’s condolences to the people and government of Pakistan and to the families of the victims, wishing speedy recovery of the injured.

 

“These barbaric acts, which are committed by the takfiri terrorists, stress once again the need for unifying all international efforts as to effectively combat terrorism and put an end to its danger that threatens international peace and stability,” the ministry said.

At least 65 people were killed and more than 284, most of them were children and women, were wounded in a suicide bombing which targeted a park in The Pakistani city of Lahore.
