10 breaches of cessation of hostilities by terrorists during 24 hours

Lattakia – Breaches of the cessation of hostilities by terrorist organization numbered 304 since the agreement came into effect on February 27th in an implementation of the Russian-US agreement adopted by the UN Security Council in accordance to resolution no. 2268.

The Russian Coordination Center announced on Sunday that it monitored 10 breaches of cessation of hostilities during the past 24 hours, including four in Aleppo and three in Lattakia countryside, noting that the agreement still holds, SANA reported.

 

The center added in a statement published on the official site of the Russian Defense Ministry that the Russian air force carried out 40 sorties in the area surrounding Palmyra during the past 24 hours.

The statement explained that the sorties targeted 117 positions for ISIS terrorist organization, killing 80 terrorists and destroying eight command centers, two tanks, three cannons, eight vehicles and six depots for them.

The statement added that Russian and Syrian aircrafts have not targeted positions of armed groups that had announced joining the cessation of hostilities.

The Center announced on Saturday that nine breaches of cessation of hostilities were monitored, three of which in Aleppo countryside and two breaches in each of Damascus, Lattakia and Homs countryside.
