Russian Coordination Center: 2 breaches of cessation of hostilities in past 24 hours

Lattakia – The Russian Coordination Center at Hmeimim Airbase in Lattakia stated on Saturday evening that terrorists breaches the cessation of hostilities agreement twice during the past 24 hours, raising the total number of breaches since the agreement came into effect on February 27th to 249, SANA reported.

The Center said that terrorists from the groups knows as “Assad al-Haqq” and “Ahrar al-Cham” targeted twice positions for the Syrian Arab Army in Homs province, claiming the life of one Syrian soldier.

 

The Center’s director, Lieutenant General Sergey Koralinko, said that since the agreement came into effect, more than 67 civilians were killed and 65 others were injured in Aleppo, including women and children, as a result of terrorist attacks on residential neighborhoods.

He also asserted that the Russian Center’s officers are present in provinces and are documenting breaches, and that they have verified that the Syrian Arab Army is committed to the agreement and hasn’t retaliated against the sources of the attacks that breach the agreement.

Koralinko added that the Center has witnessed in the past few days the signing of a reconciliation with dignitaries from villages in Damascus Countryside, and that it’s still communicating with dignitaries from three villages in Idleb and Homs.
