Iran-Russia Play Strategic Role on Syria

Moscow –A senior Iranian foreign ministry official underscored the importance of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow on Syria, IRNA reported.

‘Iran-Russia cooperation on Syria is very important,’ Foreign Ministry Advisor Mohammad Kazzem Sajjadpour said in an interview with the Russian Sputnik news agency.

He reiterated that the unstable situation of the Middle East puts negative impact on the rest of the world.

The official reiterated that terrorists from different European countries such as France, Britain and Central Asia have attacked the Middle East.

Sajjadpour said that Iran is an influential and stable player in the Middle East which has high security level in social and political terms.

‘Collaboration and cooperation between Iran and Russia has helped to change the trend of armed struggle in Syria; many countries believe that Tehran and Moscow have necessary capabilities to maintain stability and security of the region,’ he added.
