Army establishes control over new areas in Palmyra countryside, eliminates terrorists in Hama

Province – Army units established full control over new areas in Homs countryside, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and munitions upon ISIS terrorists, in addition to eliminating a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra in Hama, SANA reported.

 

Homs

A military source said army units in cooperation with the popular defense groups established control over points 753 and 1 km in the direction of al-Biyarta- Haiyal Mountain 10 kilometers to the west of Palmyra.

Army units eliminated the remaining gatherings of ISIS terrorists and destroyed their fortifications in the points where they established control.

Engineering Units dismantled the explosive devices that the terrorists left behind before fleeing away.

Army units destroyed dens and gatherings of terrorists in well 101 and to the south of well 105 areas in the eastern countryside of Homs.

To the south east of Homs, the source confirmed that army units inflicted heavy losses in personnel upon ISIS terrorists during strikes by the Syrian Air Force, and many of their positions in Mehseh and to the north of al-Qareitain were destroyed.

Hama

Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, foiled an attempt by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists to infiltrate a number of military positions in al-Mughir, Bridj, Tal al-Sakhr, Hamamiyat in Hama’s northwestern countryside, a military source said.

The source also said that other army units eliminated 19 terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and destroyed two vehicles equipped with DShK machineguns, two mortar launchers nests, and two ammo depots in Kafr Naboudeh and al-Habbit in Hama’s northwestern countryside.
