Chairman of SEF: Implementing Syrian-Iranian Trade Agreements

Damascus, (ST) – Chairman of the Syrian Exporters’ Federation (SEF) Mohammed al Sawah, during a meeting with the Commercial Attaché at the Iranian Embassy in Damascus Ali Alkazemini, discussed recently ways to enhance trade relations between the two countries in various fields and activate the work of the private sector in the field of import and export.

 “The goal of the meeting is to inform Syrian exporters interested in the Iranian market concerning the date of the implementation of signed agreements between the two countries that begins a month later, whereas this market will witness a movement of the flow of goods to the Syrians traders and industrialists, pointing out that the Iranian market is large and the Syrians can take advantage of them,” Mr. al –Sawah clarified.

He pointed out that SEF prepares to open warehouses and offices for import and export in Iran to help the Syrian and Iranian traders and industrialists, noting that Syrian businessmen will participate in the Iranian exhibitions.

For his part, Mr. Alkazemini confirmed the need to revive trade relations between the two countries especially the economic ones, pointing to the need to re-glow the Syrian economy again.

He pointed out that the Syrian traders have the desire to develop relations with the Iranian side, particularly those who visited Iran in previous periods, they want to display their products in the Iranian exhibitions.

“Organizing the exhibitions’ agenda, which will be held in Iran, is completed and the list of these exhibitions will be sent to all Syrians traders and industrialists who wish to display their products, indicating that the Iranian Exhibitions Organization will provide presentations and special facilities for the Syrian participants,” Mr. Alkazemini concluded.
