A national reconciliation meeting was held Monday with tribal leaders and Muslim and Christian clergymen from Soran area, Qal’et al-Madiq town and 100 towns in the eastern and western al-Hamraa countryside in Hama countryside.
The meeting comes as a result of intensive efforts started earlier by governmental and civil circles and it coincides with the successive victories being achieved by the Syrian army over the terrorist organizations and their supporters, Hama Governor Ghassan Khalaf said.
While, Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Hama branch Mustafa Shukri asserted the government’s keenness to bring back the mislead persons to the homeland and to take part in defending it.
“The door of reconciliation is open to all Syrians and not to Takfiris,” Head of the Security and Military Committee in Hama said.
The Father Lwis Skaf stressed that the attack on Syria aims to distort the image of Islam and its message which calls for national unity between Muslims and Christians. “Today, we urgently need national reconciliation to overcome the crisis,” he added.
Tribal leaders see that the meeting is a sign of Syria’s victory over terrorists and terrorism, stressing that tolerance and love are the main factors to overcome differences among the Syrian people and to open a new page entitled ‘Hope” and ‘reconstruction of the renewed Syria’.
