Secret of Syria’s steadfastness

The Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Assistant Regional Secretary Hilal al-Hilal has declared that the secret of Syria’s steadfastness is its diverse social fabric and the demographic structure, stressing that the conspirators against Syria cannot destroy this diversity. 

He added that civil society has played a national role over the past five years through supporting the Syrian Arab army and launching initiatives that have positive effects on the society. 

His remarks came during his yesterday’s meeting with civil society activists representing all Syrian governorates.

Al-Hilal conveyed President Bashar al-Assad’s appreciation for the activists, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency quoted member of the regional leadership Yousef al-Ahmad as saying- during the meeting – that the Syrian people faces the fiercest attack in history, which aims at destroying Syria.

“The people’s support for its leadership has foiled the plot of destroying the country,” he said.

On his part, Head of the National Initiative for Syrian Kurds MP Omar Ossi said that the Syrian people’s adherence to diversity of social fabric was stronger that the plots of Syria’s foes.
