Larijani calls for Muslim world’s support for Palestinian nation

Tehran– Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani renewed Iran’s stance on supporting the Palestinian cause and nation, and urged the Muslim countries to unite for supporting Palestine.

‘The unity of Muslim countries for supporting Palestine is necessary,’ Larijani said in a meeting with members of Palestinian groups in Tehran on Saturday.

He reiterated that the Iranian nation and officials deem supporting and defending the Palestinian nation as their religious duty.

‘The conditions of the region are very difficult at the moment and under such conditions we witness occurrence of crises in the region, specially terrorism, and such conditions have created a good opportunity for the Zionist regime’s plots,’ Larijani added.

The Iranian Majlis speaker went on to say that unfortunately the plots which are underway in the region have distracted the people’s minds from the issue of Palestine, adding, ‘Of course many of these issues can be prevented, but some western countries like the US and some regional countries have prevented this.
