SEF: Actions to Rehabilitate Textile Sectors

Damascus, (ST) – Head of the Syrian Exporters’ Federation (SEF)  Mohammed Nasser al –Sawah  confirmed that the local and foreign exhibitions held during the last period and sent a message saying that the Syrian industry began to recover again, pointing out that Syria Mod exhibition, which held recently in Beirut was attended by more than 100 exhibitors on an area of 3000 sqm enjoyed a big success and proved that the Syrian industry despite the difficult conditions still enjoys competition.

“The number of businessmen who visited the  exhibition reached more than 500 visitors, including 150 Iraqi businessmen,” Mr. al –Sawah  said In a statement to local press.

 

“After the Beirut exhibition, we went to the Global Village in Dubai and we opened the Syrian pavilion with the participation of 122 exhibitors and we offered all facilities for participants in order to open up the prospect for export to support the Syrian industry and to ease the burdens and pressures for industrialists, pointing out that the SEF permanently and provides industrialists with support and seeks to provide the initial work requirements,” he added.

He pointed out that the SEF carried out a number of training courses and programs to provide trained and qualified manpower for some factories and currently the federation is preparing to establish a large lounge for rehabilitation and training to supplement textile sectors with expert manpower.

For the exhibition “Modatex” to be held in Damascus in the coming period, Mr. al sawah pointed out that the participation would be great including the various Syrian governorates, noting that the SEF seeks to secure all supplies to make the exhibition a success.
