Marble Cake

INGREDIENTS

1 cup white sugar

2 cups flour

1 cup oil

1 cup milk

2 eggs

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon vinegar

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1 pinch of salt

Cooking method according to shahiya.com

1. Beat the eggs with an electric mixer for 1 minute.

2. Add vanilla and vinegar to the eggs and beat again.

3. Add oil, milk and sugar; beat for another minute.

4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.

5. Make a whole in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the liquid mixture to it. Beat for 1 minute.

6. Separate the batter in half; now you have 2 bowls with half the batter in each.

7. In one bowl, add cocoa powder and mix till it’s “chocolaty”.

8. Spray a pan with cooking spray, add half the white batter to the pan, then add all the chocolate batter then add the rest of the white batter on top.

9. Move a knife in between the layers so that you have a marble effect.

10. Preheat oven on medium heat (275 degrees) and bake the cake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
