Capacity for Bilateral Cooperation to Increase After JCPOA

Chinese Ambassador to Iran Pang Sensaid that following implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) capacities and situations for cooperation and interaction between the two countries has been promoted and expanded.

In a meeting with Foreign Ministry representative for north and east of the country in Mashad Gholam Abbas Arbab Khaless, Pang Sen referred to recent visit of Chinese President to Iran and his meeting with President Hassan Rouhani and said that the two sides discussed different spheres of politics, economy, culture and security as well as international and regional problems and 17 documents and agreements were signed.

He stated that bilateral cooperation progresses were very good, because both leaders intended for development of cooperation and the Supreme Leader also has special attention on this issue.

Pang Sen said China in its relations with Iran has always intended to have strategic and long-term relations, adding, ‘Direct flight between Mashad-Urumqi will be commissioned soon.’

Arbab Khaless called China as confident partner for Iran and said that Khorasan Razavi had several projects for investment in industry and tourism, which could be a common ground for joint cooperation.

He said that one of Iran’s development priorities is transit in the sectors of road, railroad, maritime and aerial and added that China has good participation in railway sector and they may participate in aerial transit, too.

Head of representative office of Foreign Ministry in North and East of the country said that in provincial cooperation also connections have been established with some of Chinese provinces, including Sin Kiang (Xinjiang).

Chinese Ambassador Pang Sen is in Mashad to attend ceremony for electrification of Mashad-Tehran railway project, which has been implemented by participation of China.
