Demand increases for Syrian Products

Damascus, (ST) – Specialist Clothing Exhibition “Syria Mod” held recently in Beirut, which was organized by the Syrian Exporters’ Association of Clothing and Textiles (SEACT) in cooperation with the Syrian Exporters’ Federation (SEF),   Support and Development of Domestic Production and Exports Corporation and Damascus Chamber of Industry, achieved important consequences for the product and the Syrian shares for Syrian products increased.

The exhibition, which was attended by more than 100 Syrian companies, included pavilions for women and men’s clothing, cotton and sports clothing in addition to children’s clothing, eastern embroideries, socks and bank companies.

Traders from Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Iraq and other Arab countries purchased contracts with the Syrian industrialists,” said head of the SEF Mohammed al –Sawah.

Concerning the results achieved by the exhibition, Chairman of the Agricultural Committee at the Syrian Exporters’ Federation, Iyad Mohammad, explained that “the contracts that were harvested by the exhibition is good compared to the economic movement and Syrian industrial productive activity under the current circumstances in Syria”, noting that orders of some of the Syrian products of Arab visitors indicate the importance of exhibitions in promoting the national product and the preservation of ancient and prestigious place among similar products from products manufactured in other Arab and foreign countries.
